In 2013-2014, during the Korean War 60th Commemoration, 250,000 Korean War veterans in every state nationwide received a commemorative book and documentary gift from the people of Korea to show their gratitude. For our Vietnam Veterans, this gift of appreciation must come from the American people—specifically, funding from the public and/or private sector to sponsor the cost of the gift.

The Vietnam 50th Commemorative Gift is an unprecedented opportunity for organizations and individuals to give a meaningful, lasting message of gratitude to Vietnam veterans in their state. The first eight pages of the book, immediately following the message from the White House, provide space for the state and its partnering sponsors to write a customized message of gratitude to the Vietnam veterans within their borders (an abbreviated example of this state specific messaging is shown below). In certain cases, your organization can assist with the actual presentation and distribution of the gift.

This archival quality coffee table book, A Time to Honor: Stories of Service, Duty, and Sacrifice, along with its corresponding interactive eBook and the film The Journey Home, will be an heirloom gift to be preserved and cherished by veterans and their families for generations to come.

We invite you to join us in thanking and welcoming home the veterans who served in Vietnam fifty years ago.
